Love Gooder!

What really makes someone attractive?

Is it a symmetric face?

Light eyes?

“Good” hair?

A nice body?

How about a humor, personality, intellect, sanctification?

What really makes someone attractive?

What is the magnetism that some seek to have that makes people want to be around them?

Is it an infectious smile?

Overwhelming happiness?

Glowing joy?

An unbreakable spirit?

The true essence of attractiveness is LOVE. Love attracts.

In John 10:11, Jesus proclaims Himself as the “Good Shepherd.” This word, “good,” means: beautiful, handsome, excellent, stands out, precious, useful, commendable, and admirable.

These are words that are often related to the idea of an attractive person. But Christ is not bragging on His dashing looks or Holy swag. He’s simply saying he is the best choice.

“Good” in the Greek also means “better.” Jesus says, “I am the Better Shepherd”. Let me tell you why…

I am better because I love you. I love you so much, I’d die for you.

John 10:11b “The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.”

In other words, a GOOD shepherd LOVE his sheep unto death.

What do we learn from Jesus about being attractive? You’re not beautiful because you look good or smell good; you’re beautiful because you LOVE GOOD.

Do you desire to be more attractive? LOVE GOODER!

Worry less about make-up and work-outs. LOVE GOODER!

Drop the designer labels and pretentious titles. LOVE GOODER!

Stop waiting for Mr. Right or looking for Ms. Who’s Left. LOVE GOODER!

When you LOVE GOODER you not only position yourself as the right choice; but because of righteousness, you demonstrate that Christ is the right choice.
